Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia Azmi (born April 10 1986) was a model turned actress from India who mostly appeared in Hindi films. Ayesha Azmi won the Filmfare Best Debut Award 2004 for the starring role of the title role in Taarzan The Wonder Car. The film was also her acting debut. The actress later appeared in movies like Paathshaala (2011) Wanted (2009) Salaam-E-Ishq (2006) and Socha Na Tha (2007). The first commercial she appeared in was for Complan, a well-known beverage to improve health. Shahid Kapoor was her co-star in their famous I'm Complan Guy I'm Complan gal commercial. She also appeared in the remix of Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin. The song became a massive popular in India during the period of remixes. She soon began getting Bollywood film offers. Taarzan The Wonder Car was known late to Takia's debut which was supposed to be part of the film Socha Na Tha but was put off by production problems. In the event that she criticised her political father-in law Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi's position on the punishment of victim of rape as well, Ayesha displayed her moral courage. Ayesha announced her commitment to veganism in the public eye when she participated in PETA's advertisement for India. She was featured in 2006 in the top ten list of Desirable Women of India.
